AIM HY INFORM Clinical Trial – What is it about?

The objective of the AIM HY programme is to provide the best medicine for the individual suffering from hypertension.  Since people of different ethnic group respond differently to high blood pressure medication, we are focusing on individuals of African/Caribbean and South Asian ethnic cohorts as these are UK’s highest ethnic minority.

Eastern research takes the pressure off for Cambridge accountant

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is extremely common and is the major cause of heart disease, kidney disease and stroke. A healthy lifestyle alone is often not enough to control it and one in three of the UK population will require treatment for it at some point in their lives. However, a new study led by Cambridge University Hospitals aims to help patients with the condition, and a local accountant is just one of those benefitting.
