Comparison of optimal hypertension regimens (part of the ancestry informative markers in hypertension (AIM HY) programmes – AIM HY INFORM)
The ComparIsoN oF Optimal Hypertension RegiMens (INFORM) is a multi-site CTIMP trial recruiting 1320 multi-ethnic hypertensives in the UK examining whether more effective personalisation of antihypertensive treatment can be achieved based on ethnicity. INFORM is part of the Ancestry and biological Informative Markers for stratification of Hypertension (AIM HY) programme; which ultimately aims to deliver personalised treatment for high blood pressure, based on a single blood test to identify the best first line treatment. This should reduce the number of consultations; the time required to achieve optimal blood pressure control and contribute to better hypertension control in the UK.
